Hi Tak was established in the 80s in Hong Kong by insulation and acoustic veteran Mr Raymond Chan. Due to the oil crisis in the 70s, industrial leaders learnt the importance of efficient insulation which could cut down energy consumption drastically, especially in the air-conditioning and refrigeration sectors.

A number of high quality insulation materials are being introduced by Hi Tak to the local industry, such as Phonice insulation which is better than fiberglass; relief surface aluminum cladding with protective layers and a wide range of accessories for central air-conditioning system.

In the 80s, Hi Tak had undertaken many major insulation projects in Hong Kong, including new oil depots in Tsing Yi Island, maintenance work for Hong Kong Electric and China Light & Power's electricity plants.

In the early 90s Hi Tak was involved in providing improved insulation design and engineering work to a number of significant projects in the region. The company had also completed insulation work for two plants at the China Gas depot in Tai Po Industrial Estate

In the mid-90s, there were very few sizable insulation projects in Hong Kong; Hi Tak began to venture into the China market. Focusing on the export of insulation materials being made in China, Hi Tak had become a well-known name in the industry. Growing sales in worldwide export has made Hi Tak the forerunner of China's insulation material export trade and respected by many local professionals and manufacturers.

Today, Hi Tak's biggest export market is in the Middle East, followed by the Southeast Asia region.

Advanced production facility
In 2006, Hi Tak has established a new production center in Zhongshan, China. The multi million-dollar advanced facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art metal processing machineries and tools. The factory is specialized in the production of various kinds of metal claddings for air-conditioning and insulation works. Claddings with relief surface and protective layers, insulated claddings, color coated claddings, corrugated claddings which comply with ASTM209 standard and a wide range of accessories, such as stainless steel strap, for insulation works. All products are being fabricated to the highest quality standard.
